About Trusted Apps

Safe and vetted apps for Windows

Trusted Apps is an editorial and advertising site for Windows applications.

If you're looking for a particular piece of software, Trusted Apps will help you find a safe, trusted package from a reputable software vendor.

Every product we recommend is free to try. Sometimes, the products we recommend have time-limited trials. Other times, the products will have feature-restricted trials. Occassionally, we'll promote an app that's 100% free!

The developers of the apps we recommend may pay us a fee for showing a recommendation for their apps, or if someone downloads or buys their app through our links.

Uninstallation

Every product found on this site is a good citizen on your PC, meaning that it's easy to uninstall and free of malware. Lots of our visitors love to take the apps we recommend for a "test drive", so here's a simple guide on how to uninstall apps that you tried out but didn't want to keep:

  • Right-click on the Windows logo in the bottom-left corner of your screen
  • Choose "Control Panel"
  • Choose "Uninstall a program"
  • Select the program you want to uninstall from the list
  • Choose "Uninstall/Change". The program's uninstaller will now run.

Alternatively, you can use these steps:

  • Left-click on the Windows logo in the bottom-left corner of your screen
  • Find the app you want to uninstall in the list of apps, and right-click on it
  • Select "Uninstall"
  • Depending on how you originally installed the app, the app will now either be uninstalled, or you can uninstall it from the list of "Programs and Features" that just appeared.
